We do things differently here at The Strength Block.
Firstly, we treat the body as a system and focus on fundamental movement patterns like pushing, pulling, and squatting rather than on isolated muscles. This means that the movements you learn will have the greatest carryover to your daily life.
Secondly, we strive to maintain a healthy balance between stress and recovery. We do this by ensuring that we are increasing the stress on your body at a rate at which it can adequately recover. A good program ensures that you’re working hard enough to stimulate adaptation, but not so hard that you wind up injured.
Lastly, we are committed to getting you strong even if you can only devote as little as twenty minutes a day to training. With the right programming, even a minimalist can expect to eventually deadlift twice their bodyweight.
Learn to Lift (In-Person Coaching) $125/Session
In this 90-minute in-person session, we will begin by discussing your training history and goals. I will then assess your strength and mobility and suggest a program tailored to your goals and constraints, usually consisting of 2-3 compound movements such as the squat, deadlift, and overhead press or a suitable variation.
Next, I will break down each of these movements and teach you how to perform them safely and effectively.
Lastly, I will provide virtual coaching for the next seven days. This will include the details of your first three training sessions along with an opportunity to upload videos and request my feedback on your technique. This will help you build the confidence you need to kickstart your personal strength block.
Virtual Coaching-$75/month
The safest and surest way to get strong is to work with me long-term. We will begin with a phone call where we discuss your training history and goals. I will then add you to my virtual coaching platform which will allow me to:
send each day’s training session directly to your phone, detailing the exact number of sets, reps, and weight for for each exercise—this is not a template, but real-time coaching that adjusts day-to-day based on your feedback, progress, and ever-changing life circumstances
provide detailed feedback on every video you upload to our coaching platform, ensuring that your technique does not suffer as the weight on the bar increases,
and conduct weekly check-ins where I address any questions or concerns you might have and track key metrics like bodyweight, protein intake, and sleep to make sure you’re building muscle and losing fat.
